What is Advocacy Day?
“Advocacy Day” refers to a day organized by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops (TCCB) where Catholics from across Texas gather at the state Capitol in Austin to advocate for legislation aligned with Catholic moral and social teachings by meeting with lawmakers and sharing their views on key issues, essentially acting as a collective voice to influence policy decisions. It’s a day dedicated to actively promoting Catholic causes at the legislative level.

- Organizer: The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops (TCCB)
- Location: Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas
- Purpose: To engage with legislators and advocate for policies that reflect Catholic values; to be present at the Capitol with fellow Catholics as a personal representative of your family, parish, or diocese.
- Activities: Meeting with representatives, attending rallies, sharing personal stories related to relevant issues; visiting the Capitol, praying in Austin at the Cathedral or at the Capitol, joining in fellowship with others from your parish, school, or diocese.

All Retreat Couples must commit to attending the entire 3-day LOVESTRONG Marriage Retreat weekend’s activities.
The LOVESTRONG Retreat is not an overnight retreat weekend. All couples participate in the program beginning on Friday evening, Saturday morning – evening and Sunday morning – afternoon, but they return to their homes on both Friday and Saturday night.
The LOVESTRONG Retreat typically runs from 5:30pm-9:30pm on Friday, 7:30am-8:30pm on Saturday, and Sunday will vary depending on the time of the Sunday Mass, but usually begins around 8am and runs till around 4pm on Sunday. Both husband and wife need to be present the entire weekend.
We are limited as to the number of couples we can accommodate, and the availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration cost covers dinner on Friday, three meals on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. It will also cover all retreat materials.
