National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2023 is January 29 – February 3. Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio are dynamic learning communities serving nearly 9,000 students in Pre-K through 12th grade. As communities of faith, our schools are called to be witnesses to the teachings of Jesus Christ and bring that love and inspiration to our students and their families. February 18, 2023The Congregation of Divine Providence will host their annual Moye-Di Gras event in Castroville on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 6:30p.m. to 10:30p.m.
Highly anticipated each year, Moye-Di Gras is an all-out party, welcoming more than 200 guests annually. The evening features a menu of New Orleans favorites catered by Acadiana Cajun Cafe, complemented by an open bar including wine, beer and margaritas. Dancing, a spirited live auction, raffle and loads of fun round out the evening.
Moye-Di Gras raises critical funds to help the Sisters maintain and improve their former motherhouse, and serves as a unique opportunity to celebrate the rich history of the Sisters of Divine Providence and Moye Retreat Center in Castroville.
